Epson Paper Shortages?
Pinewood, Shepperton, Ealing, Elstree, Longcross, Leavesden.... do you recognise these names? They are among the most creative places in the country: they are all film studios. Bovilles have been supplying art and design materials to the film industry for a long time.
We find it fascinating to see how the materials are used in the Art Department, the SFX Department, The Creature Effects Department, The Costume Department, the Set Decoration Department, and all the other elements involved in making a film.
You might think that it only takes a Producer and Director to make a film, but they are supported by some very clever and talented people. When you are next sucked in by the look and feel of the film you are watching, do remember that this was created by a multi-talented and versatile team of designers.
Bovilles were recently invited to become a Sponsor Member of the British Film Designers Guild. We are absolutely delighted to join the Guild whose members have a long list of BAFTAs and Oscars to their name.
Earlier in the year Esselte offered a Prize Draw to users of their Xyron Adhesive System. The top prize was an Apple iPad, with iPods offered to the runners up. We were very chuffed when one of our customers, Simon Elvin Ltd, won the second prize, an Apple iPod Touch. Rachael, who runs their studio, was particularly bowled over as she only found out on returning from her honeymoon! Bovilles were pleased that Simon Elvin had won a prize as they have been a customer for many years and were one of the first to adopt the Xyron adhesive system.
We hope that these news stories show that Bovilles relate to our customers and we feel part of the process. We now have a Facebook page, as this seems a good way of keeping in touch with everyone.
